This 3-bedroom, 3-bath penthouse condo awaits your romantic island getaway or fun-filled family vacation. At 1640 square feet of indoor living space and an additional 810 square feet of outdoor lanai space, this home lets you bring the whole family without being on top of each other. Or bring two other couples and score a great value compared to renting 3 hotel rooms. Our condo is located on a corner as close to the ocean as you can get, and the views are simply amazing. If you have a good arm, you could literally throw a stone from our lanai and hit the ocean. And we are a 5-minute walk from not one, but two quiet beaches with some of the best snorkeling on Maui.
Our home comfortably sleeps 6-8 with generously sized rooms and high ceilings. Two bedrooms have king-size beds, ensuite bathrooms, and doors that open out to a lanai. The master bedroom actually has doors leading to two different lanais. Imagine not having to get out of bed to enjoy the ocean view or to let the ocean’s sounds lull you to sleep every night. The third bedroom has two single beds that can be made into a king-sized bed and a door to the 3rd bathroom/powder room. There is also a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. Central air conditioning and a full-sized washer and dryer are included, as are 3 televisions (one with surround sound and Apple TV), Sonos speakers, and Wi-Fi internet access, to provide our guests with all the comforts of home.
Makena Surf is a quiet, low-density condo resort about 5 minutes south of Wailea and across the street from a great golf course. Makena Surf is in the “Hotel Zone,” so you won’t need to book far in advance. You can SUP, kayak, and snorkel directly from our beaches. Makena Surf has two recently remodeled swimming pools, 2 hot tubs, 4 tennis courts (2 with pickleball), an exercise room, an herb garden, 24-hour security, and free parking. Wailea is home to award-winning restaurants, world-class golf courses, and excellent shopping.
Watch both the ocean and TV from the L-shaped couch in the great room or have a family meal at the 6-seat dining table. Sample the vistas from each of the lounge chairs on the lanai and try to decide which one has the best view. It’s a tough life, but someone has to live it! Even the kitchen has a stunning ocean view, so if you decide not to dine in one of the world-class restaurants in nearby Wailea, you can enjoy the view while you cook. Or you can fire up the barbecue and eat on the lanai while looking for turtles and whales. The kitchen has upscale Bosch appliances, including an induction stove, and we supply all of the kitchen gear that you need to stay home and cook.
If you love watching the ocean, you will be so happy here that you might not want to leave! But if you venture outside, it is a short walk to 2 wonderful beaches, and several more are a short drive away. The cove in front of our condo is so awesome that people pay to be brought here, but all you have to do is put on your flippers and swim on over. We supply beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards, and sand toys for your use, and you can rent kayaks and snorkel gear nearby. You can dine at world-class restaurants like Ko, Ferraro’s, Monkey Pod Kitchen, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, Morimoto, and Spago, which are minutes away by car (and yes, Uber and Lyft are on Maui) The island of Maui has everything you want to see on your Hawaiian vacation, including waterfalls, bamboo forests, extinct volcanos, luaus, and all sorts of ocean life.
