A five-minute walk in one direction takes you to the undeveloped beauty of Sugar Beach, five miles of white sand with the ocean on one side, and Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge on the other; perfect for your morning walk. A short walk from Maalaea Banyans 114 in the other direction leads you to Ma’alaea Harbor, the launching point for many water adventures including whale watching, snorkeling, and saltwater fishing. This is home to the Maui Ocean Center and several excellent restaurants which offer a wide assortment of dining and drinks.
When you’re rested and ready for adventure, Ma’alaea’s central location allows you to reach Maui’s famous locations easily. The Ma’alaea Banyans has been our favorite vacation spot for many years. Experiencing the sights and sounds of the ocean from the comfort of your own lanai is incredibly relaxing; your troubles will melt away.
